Build Your Inner Voice

Terms and conditions

Last updated 23 September 2026

Thank you for choosing Build Your Inner Voice. These terms explain what you can expect from us when you buy a track, give or receive a gift, or join as a member, and what we ask of you in return. We have kept them as short and clear as we can. Our privacy notice explains how we look after your information. If your employer provides your membership, our employer terms also apply between us and your employer.

What you get

Build Your Inner Voice makes personalised affirmation audio. You choose a focus, a length, a background sound and how audible the words are, and you can tell us in your own words what is going on. Our AI writes affirmations around what you told us, they are recorded in a natural voice and mixed with your background sound, and the finished track is emailed to you, usually within minutes.

The AI we use to write affirmations, guides and plans is Claude, made by Anthropic. Every track is written fresh for that order, so no two are the same. We take great care over quality, but AI-written content can occasionally contain mistakes. If anything is not right, tell us and we will put it right.

The service is for adults aged 18 and over. By using it, you confirm you are 18 or older.

What this service is, and what it is not

Build Your Inner Voice is a personal development and wellbeing tool built around affirmations. We think it works best when you know exactly what it is, so here it is plainly.

It is a wellbeing tool, not healthcare. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or manage any physical or mental health condition. It is not a medical device. It is not therapy, counselling, coaching or psychiatric care, and it is not provided by clinicians.

It is not a crisis or emergency service. It is not watched in real time and cannot respond to an emergency. If you are ever at risk of harm, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line. You can find a free helpline for your country at findahelpline.com.

The safety check. Everything you write when you order a track, ask for a 5 minute reset, plan a team session or use the planner goes through an automatic safety check. It is there to make sure we never create something unsuitable, and to point people to extra support when it might help. If it finds some signs, we add support resources to your email. If it finds serious signs, we pause a track order so it can be looked at personally before anything is made, and on the member tools we show you helplines straight away. It is not a clinical assessment, so please do not rely on it to notice that you are struggling. Our privacy notice explains exactly what happens.

What we record about your use. We record the month you last used a member tool, the days you mark as listened in your tracker, and a usage record with no name, no email address and nothing you wrote. We use these to run your membership and, for workplace memberships, to give employers whole-team totals. We do not read what you write as a matter of course, and we do not assess your wellbeing.

Your use is your own. You choose what to write, what to listen to and when. If you ever need professional help, please do reach out for it. We will always encourage you to.

Results vary. Affirmations are a practice, not a treatment, and everyone's experience is different. Nothing on our website, in our emails or in your tracks is a promise of a particular result.

Cancelling

Cancelling your membership at any time

You are free to cancel whenever you like, from the billing link on your membership page. Your membership is billed monthly from the date you joined. For example, if you joined on the 27th, each billing month runs from the 27th to the 26th of the next month. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep your membership until the end of the billing month you have already paid for. Apart from the first 14 days (below), we do not refund part months.

Your right to cancel in the first 14 days

If you change your mind, you can cancel your membership within 14 days of joining. When you join, you ask us to start your membership straight away, so if you cancel within the 14 days, we refund what you paid, less an amount for the days you had your membership. For example, on a £30 membership cancelled after 5 days, we would refund £25. Any tracks already delivered are yours to keep.

To cancel within the 14 days, email hello@buildyourinnervoice.com or write to us. You can use the cancellation form below if you like, but you do not have to. We refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card you paid with.

"Delete everything"

Choosing "Delete everything" on your membership page is different from cancelling. It ends your membership straight away, stops any further payments and removes what we hold about you. Outside the first 14 days, the rest of the billing month you have paid for is not refunded. If you only want to stop paying, the billing link is the one to use.

Tracks and gifts

The cancellation rules for a single track and for gifts are in the Tracks and Gifts sections above.

If something is not right

A few ground rules

Your rights. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, and nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

What we are responsible for. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, because this service is for personal use. If something goes wrong, please tell us first. We would always rather remake a track, extend a membership or refund you than have you out of pocket.

Updates to these terms. We update these terms from time to time as the service grows. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Changes to the membership price are the exception: we will always email you at least 30 days before a new price applies. You are free to cancel your membership at any time if an update does not suit you.

Which law applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in your own country's courts.

If you live outside the UK. We welcome customers from around the world, including the United States and New Zealand. If the law where you live gives you consumer rights that cannot be changed by agreement, nothing in these terms takes those rights away. In New Zealand, that includes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Cancellation form

You only need this if you want to cancel within 14 days and would like to use a form. An email saying you want to cancel works just as well.
